First Batch of Hot Process Soap

Yep...That's meeee! My husband really couldn't keep from taking this picture. I look like I'm about to go do ....actually I don't know. I do know that I look crazy. Well as they say "better safe than sorry".

I am so excited I made my first batch of hot process soap on Saturday. I am truly a soap addict now. I loved my finished product. I gave some out as samples they were a little too soft still so as of now they are still on the rack curing. Hopefully they will harden a bit more. It doesn't matter I DID IT! TOTALLY FROM SCRATCH! Lye and all. I will post more as the testing phase continues. However you are still more than welcome to order my regular olive oil and goat's milk soaps from the website.

Don't forget to sign up for the October Giveaway. You have until the end of the month to do that. Thanks for looking...I'll keep posting if I know ya'll are reading.

October Giveaway!!!

Hawaiian Tropic Soy Candle in Tin

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mulled wine Parraffin Candle in Victorian glass jar
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hi all! I decided to do a giveaway at the end of this month to encourage people to follow my blog. Here's the deal...Do these three things and be entered to the monthly drawing:
1. Sign on to follow my blog
2. Leave a comment at the bottom of this post telling me what's your Favorite scent (in candles or bath and body)
3. Leave your name (first name will do) and link in the comment (if you have a link)

Do ALL three of those things and I will put your name in the drawing. To be fair I will have my 22month old nephew pull 2 names out of a bowl --- hope I can get him to pull them ;-). I will be giving away a bar of soap and a soy candle. The first name pulled will win "soap" and the 2nd name pulled will win the "candle" (the winners choose any soap or candle that I have in stock).
Hope you participate and tell a friend!
If this goes well I'll do something different every month!
Giveaway ends at midnight on October 31, 2009
My best to all,
Miranda Yvette

So if you're reading this go ahead and sign up to "follow" me and you can get a chance to win something every month. I'm considering a "Candle Giveaway"...I'll try and have everything posted this weekend. If anyone has any marketing ideas I'm all ears. I would love to hear any advice.
